So Eureka is obviously about the future. More-over, the series take place in a settlement/town that became known as Eureka. Eureka hosts many superb and intelligent people here ready to take the next step into scientific achievements. Fair to say that the new technology is required to assist in finding such achievements. However, they are still new to the concept. With every advancement, human humiliation, questioning, and reasoning is required to understand the technology that is used presently. So what may come next is definitely a surprise, and that is what Eureka is about in a gist. They are meddling with unknown technology that puts suspense in the series. Added to that is the comical sense of humor. In Eureka's era, technology is heavily relied upon. Look at us now today, without our phones and computers and other technological advancements, the entire human species would probably not know what to do with ourselves. Point is, we rely heavily on it, and so do the people in Eureka. Also, it is very confounding to even imagine a ghost re-appearing in a person's normal day life. But the team unravels their misused technology in hopes to gain more insight on the situation. Again this goes back to the trial and errors that come with technology and that much isn't really going to alter that much between what we are doing now with technology to what we will be doing later on in the future. We will constantly be exploring the unknown.
