Battle: LA or Battle: World?

In a not so distant future, any broad generalization about the present and future can be made. Whether formulated into a theory or complex mathematical equation, it could happen. In the movie Battle: LA, the human species faces the threat of complete colonization from an overwhelming and brutally advanced army of extraterrestrials. BUT WAIT! That seems quite ironic, because last time I checked, we like to colonize everything we can too! From as early as the beginning of time humans have tried to colonize one another! From Khan to Napoleon to Hitler. For all the time that has passed, we humans have only gone to war with ourselves. Who would have ever expected for this type of phenomena to occur in their lifetime, where we would be ambushed by another life form? Surely, that can't happen right? But this is the truth. We may find pity and sorrow in ourselves when we realize how fragile and delicate we are when faced with the unknown, but that is the exact reflection with what we humans are doing! Over time, lets face it, we don't run out onto the battlefield anymore with clubs or long spears and swords hoping for the best, we have developed many advanced tactics against ourselves. So instead of feeling sorry when we are almost at the brink of destruction, why not repent now and realize that we don't have to almost end humanity to see what the cost of war brings? Confusing huh? Simply said,  even to begin with the first battles involving thermonuclear warfare, we have already endangered ourselves with complete annihilation if we hadn't already! So lets put into perspective again how we would like to pity ourselves and feel sorrowful when we are threatened by extraterrestrial life forms, but not pity ourselves when we are up against one another. War is pointless and doesn't resolve existing problems. It only puts off temporarily the hate we have for one another until someone like Hitler rises to the occasion and decides something for himself like being better than any other race and that the Jews are to blame. If anything, its us. If anything, war that is becoming increasingly advanced is going to be the end of us. If you still don't get it, just watch the movie, get really sad and think about what would happen if we were really to be colonized, but pretend that the extraterrestrial life forms are just humans in disguise. After all, we make a damn good job of endangering ourselves enough already with or without war. It only gets worst from there and Battle: LA definitely portrays that.
